MageMoros, Mysterium
Background
Harry D'Amour was the son of Steve and Sarah. Born 33 years ago, he had lead a fairly normal life. That was until his dream. Harry always had very vivid strange dreams, but this one was special. In this dream, he met four people, three men and a woman. They showed him things that he would have believed impossible, even in a dream. They traveled to places that he had never been, but he was sure that they existed. After a while, Harry decided what would happen. This amazed his new friends. The woman turned to one of the men and said that she was no longer in control of the dream. Somehow Harry had taken control from her. The others were very impressed, but Harry was realizing he was in a dream and didn't think about it twice.
Soon the dream was over and Harry was waking up,but for some reason, he could feel their presence still in the room with him. When he opened his eyes, he was sure they would be standing in the room with him. If he hadn't hesitated opening his eyes, he would have seen them standing at the foot of his bed. But he waited a momemnt still believing that
it had to be a dream. When he finaly opened his eyes and looked where he knew they should be, they were gone. Only later, after his Awakening, did he realize that they were trying to enlighten him. They were just too early.
Harry's Awakening happened many days later in the shower, when he realized that there is no such thing as "real". There is no real and unreal, only stages of "realness". Dreams were toward the less real direction, but still not "unreal". Once he realized this, Harry went on a little trip. On this journey, he saw things that were more "real" than anything he had seen before. People, objects, places. They all had more to them than the world he had come from. At the end of his journey, Harry carved his new name on a tower that was more real than anything. Verus, he called himself. It was Latin for truth. The truth he had discovered.
ConceptI created this character based on myself and a dream that I had. The "realness" concept is one that I have about reality and thought that it would make a good mage character.
