Background
Left on the doorstep of a Christian monastery when he was still a baby, Silas was raised by monks. Silas was taught with a Christian upbringing. He never fully accepted the Christan faith. He believed that there was something wrong with it, a lie that was told. Silas hid this scepticism from the monks for fear of punishment. Once he was old enough, he left the monastery in search of the truth he never found there.

Wandering for over a year, Silas always felt as if someone was keeping an eye on him. Never did he think it was God, but neither would he have realized the truth. That he was followed by members of a roving pack of werewolves.
After some time, he found himself a new home. Although he never accepted Christianity, Silas did like the life he lead in the monastery. He felt that a monk's way of life was his. So, when he found the Buddhist monastery, it felt like the truth. There, they did not force belief upon him. There was meditation and studies.

Silas lived at the new monastery for a few years before they came. One night, under a full moon the monsters attacked. They killed anyone that stood between them and their target, Silas.

Silas ran. Ran and hid. In the cellar. In the darkness.
He could hear the beast that hunted him. Hear it's heavy breathing. It's claws scraping the stone floor. Looking for him. That's when the others came. Silver glinted out from the darkness and a great battle was fought. If Silas could see, he would not have believed the carnage.

When the battle was over, a man came to Silas with an extended hand. He explained that the Forsaken had been defeated and that they would not take him and pervert his mind. The Pure would show him the truth and never lie to him.
