VampireSanctified Mekhet, Mute Bloodhound
Background
Most Kindred think of the night of their Embrace as the end of their old lives. As far as Aisha is concerned her life ended seven weeks before that, during a trip with a few friends from college. To make a long and most unpleasant story short, the evening left her close to death, with her throat cut after being brutally gang raped. To the utter surprise of everyone involved she survived – or rather, her body did. While the bruises and cuts healed her soul seemed shattered beyond repair. After she was released from hospital she secluded herself in her little apartment, unable to stand even her friends and family around her. Many a night she spent sitting on the ledge of her window, gazing at the city below, wondering whether she wanted to live or die.
The decision was taken from her hands when she piqued the interest of a Kindred whose hunting grounds included the apartment house she lived in. Once he had discovered the reason for her obvious despair, he was convinced that her unlikely survival showed the hand of a higher power. Being a devout member of the Lancea Sanctum, the vampire followed his assumed calling and Embraced Aisha, giving her both the purpose and the means to punish sinners. While her family mourned her disappearance and supposed suicide, she set out to do just that. During the following week the young men who had destroyed her that night were hunted down one after another and perished under the fury of their former victim.
After those first nights of blood and violence Aisha quickly found her place at her Sire's side, among the ranks of the faithful followers of the lance. However even though the teachings of Longinus provided her with spiritual comfort she still hasn't managed to overcome the painful memories of her violation. Of course she never talks about it – she never talks at all. Whether this is because her vocals were too damaged even for the cursed blood of the Kindred to remedy or because she remains too traumatized to speak is unknown. Nobody really thought to inquire. In fact, this disability makes her valued by her superiors. Being apparently unable to gossip and having no moral objections against inflicting violence upon the enemies of the covenant – especially if they come in the shape of young men – she quickly distinguished herself as a competent bloodhound.
If she's not at the temple she usually can be found drifting through dark parks, narrow alleys or particularly unsafe pubs. As she sees it, anybody who assaults or molests her is fair game. Not only does she sustain herself this way, she also finds it most satisfying in more than one way. Unfortunately her feeding has left more traces than she anticipated; rumors about a female vigilante are already spreading. Up until now this hasn't caused as much as a raised eyebrow among the older Kindred of the city. However, Aisha is most aware of the fact that has to take greater care in the future – or maybe find some likely scapegoat.
Appearance
A slender young woman, Aisha usually wears a simple dark cloak over long skirts and a turtleneck. Her slightly Arabic features are only enhanced by the black scarf she uses to cover her hair – as well as the prominent scars on her throat. On special occasions however – celebrations or holidays – she dresses in an elegant white pant suit and a matching scarf.
